'Glamour' Girls Rita, Kate, and Kirsten

Glamour_3   Think of your most inspiring moment. Landing your first lead. Finishing your first marathon. Falling in love. Now imagine you could experience that moment all over again on the big screen -- directed by Rita Wilson, Kate Hudson, or Kirsten Dunst.

Thanks to Glamour magazine's Glamour Reel Moments film series, three women recently did just that. For the third year in a row, Glamour selected three real-life reader essays to be turned into short films by first-time directors. Directed by Wilson, Hudson, and Dunst, the films -- all based on the theme "happiness" -- premiered in Los Angeles Oct. 9.

Cast members in the film trio include Jeanne Tripplehorn, Kurt Russell, Dakota Fanning, Virginia Madsen, Chevy Chase, Kristen Stewart, Winona Ryder, Aisha Tyler, Camilla Belle, and Channing Tatum.

Through the series, Glamour hopes to give a boost to female directors, who currently make up only seven percent of Hollywood auteurs. Other actors who have made their directorial debut through Glamour Reel Moments include Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Aniston, Mary Wigmore, and Trudie Styler.
