Off-Broadway's 20-20 Vision
The number 20 is the password. Starting Tue., Feb. 24 and running through Sun., March 9, 20 Off-Broadway shows will offer seats still available 20 minutes before the curtain for $20 when purchased at the box office.
"20at20," as it's dubbed, is a semiannual celebration of New York's popular Off-Broadway shows, inspired by Restaurant Week. It was created by Off-Broadway Brainstormers, an organization that was launched as a town-hall forum for the Off-Broadway community at large.
The plays that can be seen at the discounted rate include recent works as well as those that have been around for a while. Among these: Altar Boyz, Beebo Brinker, Dai, Gazillion Bubble Show, Hunting and Gathering, and Jump.
