Take the Leap

The New York Television Festival, in association with Procter & Gamble Productions, is accepting submissions for the Flying Solo TV Pilot Contest, which aims to discover young female storytellers and filmmakers who wish to turn their lives into a TV pilot. The pilot will be a combination of professionally shot footage of the subject's life and first-person footage shot by the subject herself. Applicants must be female college students age 18 or older graduating during the 2007-08 academic year. To apply, entrants must shoot a two- to four-minute audition video introducing viewers to their post-graduation lives, including family, friends, summer jobs, relationships, etc. Up to three winners will be selected to develop and star in their own pilot.
