The Price of Saying No a Matter of Debate
Mildly interesting debate on SAGwatch.net about what is and what isn’t the actual amount of money spent by the guild on its Vote No campaign against the AFTRA deal. The original post puts the figure at well over $250,000, while Hollywood board member and Membership First partisan Anthony DeSantis lists it as little more than $104,000. We report, you decide.
None of this sideshow debate, however, gets us any closer to a substantial resolution--and when we write "resolution," we mean, “a state of being resolved,” as in "over and done with." If it’s all the same to you guys, I’d rather be off the grid in a Zip code whose first three digits are 129.

P.S.: Who are the people who actually run SAGwatch.net? The big dog, Arlin Miller, at least signs his name to his work. Kinda sorta wish the folks at the 'watch would do the same. Someone once sent me an anonymous post that said it was run by a double-secret cabal run and funded by AFTRA, the AMPTP, the Tri-Lateral Commission, Dean Wormer and the Freemasons. (Dean Wormer and the Freemasons... didn't they open for Patti Smith at CBGB in '79?)
Memo to SAGwatch.net: Reveal your names and end the conspiracy theories.
