Broadway Barks

Broadway Barks: The 11th Annual Adopt-a-thon is a famed dog and cat adopt-a-thon that will help many of New York City's shelter animals find permanent homes.

The organization seeks to inform New Yorkers about the thousands of homeless dogs and cats in the metropolis. Last year, the event found homes for 125 dogs and cats. Mary Tyler Moore and Bernadette Peters conceived this program out of their passion for animals. Many of other Broadway and T.V. stars will be featured.

Broadway Barks will be held at Shubert Alley on W. 44th and 45th streets, between 7th and 8th avenues. On Saturday, July 11th the event begins at 3:30 p.m-6:30 p.m. Celebrity presentations will begin at 5:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. Bernadette Peters will be signing her book, Broadway Barks, a NY Times bestseller, at 1 p.m.
