Here are a couple of interpretations of "The Star Spangled Banner".  Which version do you prefer? Or are there other versions you like better?

How funny this question is TODAY!!!

It was today at a social club I belong to where one of the club members showed reverence to America and enlightened us all by playing several versions of the star spangled banner as well other patriotic songs by famous music artists, including the fame to fall to fall to fall...falling feisty Whitney Houston doing her impeccable rendition of the American national anthem. I think we were a bit stunned for just a moment listening to her once beautiful vocals that would calm a wild coyote in heat.

Then the deep bluesy tone of Elvis crooned us, took us there and back, and back and there again while we patiently waited for a his lyrical orgasm of America the Beautiful.

Shocked out of the spirit of Americanism by the blatant blaring of Bruce Springsteen's Born in the USA was a reminder to us all that America the Beautiful has not been as such to our Vietnam Veterans.

Lest we can not forget the sweet soulful sound of natural woman herself Aretha Franklin God Blessing America at the inaugration of President elect Obama. We love you Retha, but that hat was hideous!
