Shakespeare Comes to Harlem

The fifth season of Harlem Summer Shakespeare heads uptown with free performances of Shakespeare's "A MidSummer Night's Dream" beginning August 6th.Midsummer_harlem

Pulse Ensemble Theatre company will perform in various upper Manhattan venues throughout the month of August. On August 6 at 6 p.m. and August 8 at 2 p.m., the company will perform at the Countee Cullen Library Auditorium, located at 104 W.136th Street. The production will continue through August 13 and 14 at 7 p.m. at St. Nicholas Park, 135th St. and Nicholas Ave.

Pulse Ensemble Theatre is one of the oldest theater companies in New York City and is committed to two major productions a year: one Shakespeare site-specific project, and a new script from its Playwrights' Lab.

The event is free and audiences are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs to the outdoor performances.
