"Where are my Resume Alerts, Application Submissions, and other BackStage.com emails?"
Talent-Database Resume Alert Emails are an exclusive self-serve feature
of the Find Talent/Casting Center Employer Toolbox section of BackStage.com. You can create as many alerts as you’d like, to automatically search through the BackStage.com Talent Database for exactly the actors, performers, and crew you need.
You can renew the alerts, extend the alerts, edit the alerts, delete
the alerts, etc.
If at anytime you stop receiving the Alerts that you’ve created, then please log into the site and make sure that your Résumé Inbox (Application Submissions Manager Inbox) is not filed up, that none of your Resume Alert Email Agents need to be renewed, and that your search-criteria is correct and optimized.
Also, make sure to check your "spam," "bulk," and "junk" email folders in case Back Stage's emails are accidentally being caught by your email program's spam filter! More details are below . . .
However, note that the Alerts only email you when new or recently updated resumes are available that match the search criteria you created for each particular Alert -- so there will likely always be some days when you won't receive Resume Alert Emails from Back Stage.com, assuming that brand-new/unique resumes that you've never seen before may not be available every single day of the week (depending, of course, on your saved-search settings, how many resumes you've asked to be sent every day, and how many new resumes have been posted to BackStage.com on any given day).
But you can access, update, delete, or renew your Resume Alert Agents at anytime via the Manage Alerts link located in your Casting.BackStage.com Casting Center Employer Toolbox and via the Manage Alerts link located on your Manage Your Saved Searches page, or go directly to your Manage Your Résumé Email Alerts page.
And if you're unhappy with the results that a Resume Alert is delivering to you, then simply Manage/Edit/Update the alert's Saved Resume Search Criteria -- or create a new Resume Alert using new Saved Search search-criteria -- until you have a set of Resume Alerts and Saved Resume Searches that you’re happy with.
To get started, simply click on the "Casting Center Toolbox" button at http://backstage.com/findtalent.
IMPORTANT MISSING EMAIL NOTE: When creating a new Alert, we suggest choosing the “Send links in an email” option but NOT the “Save notices to inbox” option. Because the “save to inbox” option will likely fill up your Résumé Inbox (Application Submissions Manager Inbox) way too quickly . . . And once your BackStage.com Inbox has approximately 200+ items saved in it, the system will think that you’ve been overwhelmed with unviewed resumes and will therefore stop sending you new resumes/alerts until you’ve cleaned out your inbox on the site. If only choose the “Send links in an email” option, then this won't be a problem -- and you'll still be able to use your Saved Resumes Inbox for manually saving and organizing individual multimedia-resumes at anytime.
IMPORTANT "SPAM" NOTE: Email from BackStage.com occasionally ends up in "bulk," "spam," or "junk" email folders, even though each emails is actually a self-customized alert generated specifically for you. Make sure to check your "bulk," "spam," and "junk" email folders if you're not receiving the Casting/Job Alerts you signed up for.
To prevent email from Back Stage being placed in your bulk/spam folder, please create a filter in your email program or service to deliver email from backstage.com and all related web domains (such as casting.backstage.com, searchease.com, groupee.com, vnuemedia.com, and nielsen.com) to your inbox -- or make sure that all emails from Back Stage are marked within your email programs as being "not spam" or "not junk" or "safe."
