Help for Agents, Managers, and Stage Parents Managing Multiple Multimedia Resumes
Agents and Personal Managers can sign up for a regular BackStage.com subscription and then use the subscription to create Multimedia Resumes for all of their clients (or have their clients create Multimedia Resume themselves from within the Agent or Manager's subscription account). They can then submit their clients to the casting, job, competition, and festival notices located in the BackStage.com Casting database. And all of the Multimedia Resumes can be included in the BackStage.com "Find Talent" Multimedia Resume Talent Database that's searched by thousands of employers, casting directors, directors, and producers Similarly, Stage Mothers/Stage Parents can create Multimedia Resumes for all of their children using a single BackStage.com subscription. However, currently there are a few small limitations in regards to BackStage.com subscriptions being used to manage and submit multiple resumes. Read on to learn more:
This is how it works:
1) Any subscriber can create multiple resumes and cover letters.
2) Each resume can be totally unique (Name, Photos, Credits, Videos, etc.) EXCEPT for the main “Contact” fields, which are tied to a single subscriber (if the main Contact fields are updated on one of the resumes, then the information is automatically updated across all of the resumes).
3) Every subscriber can submit to an unlimited number of casting/job notices and can sign up for multiple Saved Searches and Casting/Job Email Alerts. However, ALL of the submissions and Alerts are tied to the subscriber's main email address. (If the account's email address is updated in one area of the site, it's automatically updated everywhere within the account.)
4) If a subscriber submits one of their resumes to a particular casting/job notice using Back Stage's Submit/Apply Online options and then tries to submit ANOTHER one of their resumes to the exact same notice, then they’ll get an error message saying something along the lines of “You’ve already applied to this notice” and they won’t be allowed to submit a second time.
For many subscribers (actors, performers, and other job-seekers representing themselves) this makes sense since employers and casting directors do not want redundant submissions, but for subscribers that are representing multiple actors from within a single subscription (e.g., personal managers, agents, stage parents, etc.) we realize that this limitation can be problematic in those instances where the subscriber wants to submit multiple resumes to a single notice. So we are looking into the possibility of removing or modifying this restriction in the future.
In the meantime, if you need to submit multiple resumes to a single notice, then we suggest using the BackStage.com Submit/Apply Online option for the first submission, and then simply use the other contact info written out in the casting-notice text to submit the additional resumes....
For instance, if an email address is listed in the casting notice, then you can simply email your additional submissions to the email address via traditional email or via the “Send Resume” option available within each resume on BackStage.com, which does not have any limitations. For more info on how to use the “Send Resume” option, see this help topic:
