The Man
This week's been pretty fun so far. My hubs was able to take off some time, drop off the pooch at doggie daycare, and keep me company on set. Of course, everyone's fallen in love with him already. The best part is that he's having fun, even during the long hours. And he's engaged and learning. It's pretty cool having him here with me. Especially during my days off strolling the streets, enjoying the sites, shopping, dining...like we're on one long ass hot date.
Both of us being arteests, we've become so accustomed to living "economically," saving our dollars, and resisting the temptation to splurge. So I decided to spoil him a bit - within reason - and it felt so damn good.
He's been my biggest supporter, critic, cheerleader, assistant, best friend, coach, manager, and advisor. I'm not sure I would have been able to do half of what I've accomplished without him in my life. I just so happen to also be madly in love with him too.
I've met a lot of other actors on this job who have a significant other, and most of their significant others are actors as well, which I always marvel at. I feel especially lucky that while my man is not an actor himself - thank gawd - he gets it. He's got his own thing going on too. He's frighteningly talented, but he's one of those annoying talents that it comes pretty easily to. But the best part of him is who he is as a human being. He keeps my feet firmly planted on the ground. It's an extra added bonus that he happens to be smokin hot too.
I've got a couple more days to go this week. I think I am finally just starting to beat this nasty cold. I think it's fair to say this has been one of the most challenging events of my life. I hope I figure out a way to stay healthy during the insanity.
