THE Pilot, THE Role : What to Do?
So I'm sitting here with my turkey burger, having a small panic attack.
In a good about-to-scale-a-casting-building kind of way.
My favorite pilot of the year (of which I put the lead on tape for eight months ago), has gone from the initial pilot stages to actual episodic production. The director/writer names attached to the thing are HUGE. Some unknowns, some big actors -- an amazing mix, really. As I mentioned in one of my other posts... this project is one of the best I've ever read.
And all of a sudden (not that I have illegal access to Breakdowns or anything), what comes out for casting? The first two episodes of this amazing show. And is there a role that I'm damn-near-perfect for?! There is.
So now I sit. And stare. And mentally WILL my agent and my manager to GET ME IN ON THIS.
I can NAIL this role!
But the project is so massive... and so secret... and so internally hyped in the industry... who knows if I even have a shot at reading for this (guest star/possibly recurring) I'd-give-my-firstborn-to-play her character.
I'm literally salivating.
Trying to figure out what to do for the role of a lifetime, Ashley Avis
