Endgame, Backstage

Endgame Tonight I am dog tired. This week was such and UP-and-Down week. Well...folks...in the next few days (until the end of this month) I hope to leave you with lightness, hope, and verve.

Tonight, however, I'm going to give you all a head's up. Starting in December, I am going to be blogging for myself. I will no longer be located on Backstage Online. Where I will be blogging in the future is still in the works. In the coming days I want to share my new pictures, some words of encouragement, and some last-minute tips to my Backstage Readers, some of which, I have come to know and care about. All of which, I appreciate.

However, tonight I want to address my exit. Before I get into that... Here's a little excerpt from Beckett's ENDGAME.I found it appropriate in its absurdity, irony, meanings, and hilarity...

Hamm: Accursed progenitor!

Hamm: Sit on him!
Clov: I can't sit.
Hamm: True.  And I can't stand.
Clov: So it is.
Hamm: Each man his specialty.

Hamm: Nature has forgotten us.
Clov: There's no more nature.
Hamm: No more nature!  You exaggerate.
Clov: In the vicinity.
Hamm: But we breathe, we change!  We lose our hair, our teeth!  Our bloom!  Our ideals!
Clov: Then she hasn't forgotten us.
Hamm: But you say there is none.
Clov: No one that ever lived ever thought so crooked as we.
Hamm: We do what we can.
Clov: We shouldn't.
(Pause.)

Hamm (anguished): What's happening, what's happening?
Clov: Something is taking its course.

It's difficult not to be frustrated when a door closes. Especially a door that has been open for some time; a familiar door, a trusted door. It is especially frustrating when one feels that something they had a  hand in creating is ending. It's very similar to closing a show, wrapping a film, moving on to another job. There is a period, even if briefly, of mourning.

All good things must come to an end. Someone said that to me today. However, I don't agree or at the very least I find it an incomplete thought. I prefer to believe that all good things lead us to another, better thing. Even if it's not immediately obvious. Granted, it took some time to come to that conclusion. Eventually, I've realized...It's time to move on. It's time to create elsewhere. Yes, I had my emotional female moment. I happen to be female and therefore, emotional. Such is our way. Well, those of us who aren't hardened bitches, anyhow.

I would like to invite all of you to contact me on FACEBOOK (Eve White) or Myspace (Eve) if you'd like to keep track of what's going on in my life. If not, Arrivederci Baby!

In the meantime... Stay tuned for some new pictures!
'cause this game has just begun--Eve White

Yes, well...it's certainly a financial blow right before the holidays...
But...it is what is.
Thanks, ladies.

I'm sorry to hear that you were among the causalities. I'm sure bigger and better things await around the next corner for you.

So sorry to hear this, Eve, but you know that neither our friendship nor your personal journey ends here.
