How do you stay motivated and positive?
Readers and bloggers! Since we're all such resourceful and intelligent people - I'm curious how you all stay motivated in this tricky business. Let me know in the comments and we'll create a brilliant list for everyone out there.
This doesn't need to be limited to actors - anyone who's profession requires them to be self-motivated and creative has experienced the highs and lows that go along with it. I want to know how you keep yourself and afloat and excited for the next day.
Here's what I do when I start to get down about it all:
1. Check-in with myself - am I just sleep-deprived/hungry/irritable for no good reason?
2. Is there anything useful I can gain from this feeling? Something I can improve upon? A class I can take/ part of my technique I can focus on?
3. Following all of this I usually make fun of myself to my friends over a margarita. Because I'm kind of ridiculous.
What do you do? I wanna know!

I generally find classes really motivating. It makes me feel more focused and I like feeling that I'm improving myself and my craft. I actually haven't been able to take class in a while, due to financial constraints, but I'm working on getting some money together so I can take something by the fall.

I just tell myself that i have a dream/goal and if i were to ever let go of it im no longer me. im no longer alive. There are alot of people in this world that give up on their dreams because they feel there is no chance for them. I refuse to let go of something that for one- is the main (but not only) thing i am good at, and two- Ive been at it for soo long. Do it because you love it, and you will never work a day in your life.
