Two Bits
First Bit: I'm so glad I offered to get my hair cut for this show. I will admit I am super rusty. This is my first full-length show in quite a while and watching everyone else make bold character choices and talk about wants and feelings (and in not an annoying way), I felt lost at sea. Making the choice to alter myself has helped dramatically. Ha - no pun intended.
The Second Bit: I have forgotten how much fun - and hard, hard work - theatre is. I just spend 90 minutes rehearsing my biggest scene (one of the most tense of the show) and boy am I exhausted. Keeping the voice up, the tension up - all of it - it's like a mini marathon.
I'd like nothing more than to collapse onto a lush (DRY) lawn under a warm sun and take a nap right now... but we have rain (surprise!) and so a few of us have decided to distract ourselves from our own dramatic pursuits by watching others' on the big screen - like, 40 minutes away. Because I am in the middle of nowhere right now, basically. Which is awesome. Except when it does nothing but rain.
