In the upcoming fourth season of the CW's hit reality show "Beauty and the Geek," hotties like a Hooters waitress, a model and a bartender are matched with nerds that research quasars and design analog circuits.

After three coCwbeautyandthegeekepisode_308mpelling seasons of this unique battle of the sexes, that's no surprise. But fans of the show who might be bored with the now-predictable formula will be interested to find that the producers have shaken things up a bit this year: in addition to nine teams of brainy men and beautiful women, they've flipped the script for the last pair, a hunky male party promoter and a nerdy female musicology student.

From Zap2It:

Sam is a 26-year-old party promoter from Davis, Calif., who will be teamed up with Nicole, a 25-year-old Tufts University musicology grad student from San Francisco. This new couple will not only test the concept of book smarts versus social smarts, but also provide a gender-based twist to the formula.

Among the challenges the geeks will have to meet are performing an autobiographical rap and competing for the title of Prom King. The beauties will be taxed by participating in a debate and substitute teaching a third-grade class.

The winning team will share a $250,000 grand prize.

Odds are, the geeks will have a tough time matching last season's steamy romance between geeky Nate and blonde bombshell Jennylee , now that there's a man in the house. But I think I'm still pulling for that analog circuit designer.
