'Lone Star Love' Cancelled?

Randy_quaid We wrote last week that there were some major problems brewing behind the scenes of Lone Star Love, the musical starring Randy Quaid and "inspired by Shakespeare's The Merry Wives of Windsor and transplanted to the Wild West shortly after the Civil War." Now, it appears the production has canceled its upcoming Broadway engagement.

The New York Post reported last week that off-set conflicts between Quaid's wife and show's producers were threatening to derail the project, and although nothing has been said connecting those disputes to its cancellation, we think it probably didn't help.

Whatever the reason, Lone Star Love, which ends its run in Seattle on September 30, will not be coming to NYC any time soon. Playbill has the full story.
