McConaughey Joins 'Thunder'

200607190040_63353 Variety reports that Matthew McConaughey has taken Owen Wilson’s place in the upcoming Ben Stiller comedy Tropic Thunder. Wilson dropped out of the project last month following his reported suicide attempt. The film is about a “group of actors shooting a big-budget war movie on a remote island when they find themselves forced to become the soldiers they are playing.” The cast also includes Jack Black, Robert Downey Jr., Nick Nolte, Bill Hader, and Steve Coogan.
