Invitation to the Dance

The deadline is quickly approaching for the Sundance Institute's next Screenwriters Lab, which kicks off January 2009. The program gives 12 fellows the opportunity to attend an intensive workshop in Sundance, Utah, where they each develop a feature-length film script. Past scripts created in the lab include Darren Aronofsky's Requiem for a Dream and Joshua Marston's Maria Full of Grace. All fellows receive one-on-one sessions with professional advisers. Submission must include a cover letter, résumé and bio, two-page script synopsis, and the first five pages of the script. Postmark deadline is May 1, 2008; $30 entry fee. www.sundance.org/ffp.
