Decameron: Debate Society Fundraiser
The Debate Society will hold a fundraiser, The Decameron, on June 19, from 7-11 p.m., featuring food, drinks, an auction, and performances by The Carlough Brothers, video artists, comedians Kurt Braunohler and Mike Birbiglia, playwright Clay McLeod Chapman, and The Cangelosi Cards, New Orleans jazz musicians, among others.
Auction includes a vacation in the Adirondacks, a two-night fall road trip to Syracuse to see The Debate Society's play The Eaten Heart, tickets for drive-in movies, and a catered romantic barbeque dinner date for two.
The Decameron will be held at the Ukrainian Cultural Center, 136 2nd Ave., between St. Marks and 9th streets. The Debate Society's new play, Cape Disappointment, will open in November at Performance Space 122.
