Scratch 'Brigadoon'

Another one bites the dust--or at least nibbles at it. The revival of Brigadoon with a rewritten book by John Guare has canceled its Boston try-out and postponed a spring 2009 Broadway opening due to the lack of a suitable theatre. Equity principal auditions had been held back in March. So we'll have to wait for 2010 for the mists to clear on that fabled Scottish village. I did Brigadoon in high school (I played Mr. Lundie, the old village wise man, because I couldn't sing) and I don't remember the book being that outdated.
