ITV Fest Opens Tonight

The third annual Independent Television Festival (ITV Fest) opens tonight in L.A. ITV Fest is the only festival for independently-produced television pilots in Los Angeles, and gives directors, writers, and producers the opportunity to showcase their original visions for the small screen.

The 2008 festival will feature original pilots, panel discussions, and events, all in an effort to foster a growing independent television community to rival the independent film industry.

Tonight at 8 p.m., audience members can attend a Reno 911 panel, with a screening of the unaired pilot episode. Other panel topics include casting, comedy writing, drama writing, distribution, and more.

The ITV Fest runs Aug. 1-7 at Laemmle's Sunset 5 Theater, 8000 Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles, CA. For more info and to purchase tickets to panels and screenings, visit the website.
