EmptyTheatre How do you get the best seats in the house for the best price? Want all the latest buzz on Broadway and beyond? Avid and rookie theatregoers alike should be sure to catch this free upcoming event from The Theatre Museum.

The Theatre Museum is holding a free panel discussion, called "The New York Theatre Scene From the Box Office to Backstage," featuring media and theatre professionals, a reception, and a book signing from the author of SEATS: NEW YORK, on Wed., Nov. 12, 5:30 to 8:00 p.m., at the Times Square Information Center on 7th Avenue, between 46th & 47th streets in Manhattan.

The panelists include:

Robert Blume: president of Blume Media Group, veteran producer of the Drama Desk Awards
Peter Filichia: theater critic for the Newark Star Ledger, theatre correspondent for New Jersey Television News 12
Jode Susan Millman, author of SEATS: NEW YORK

Seats: New York includes 180 seating plans for all major venues in the New York City Area, including Radio City Music Hall, The Public Theatre, and Yankee Stadium. Each seating plan illustrates all theatre sections with individually numbered seats, colored-coded by ticket price, to present the realistic, three-dimensional quality of the venue. The new third edition of the book also includes an encyclopedia of theatre tips on discount tickets and a fold-out map of the  Midtown Theatre District.

The event is free and open to the public. A $20 donation buys a free copy of SEATS.
