'Guys and Dolls' and 'Waiting for Godot' Broadway Casts Announced

Guys and dolls_logo title Playbill reports today that the upcoming Broadway revival of Guys and Dolls will feature Titus Burgess (The Little Mermaid) as Nicely Nicely Johnson, Glenn Fleshler (Spring Awakening) as Big Jule, Adam Lefevre (Our Country's Good) as Lt. Brannigan, Jim Ortlieb (Farnsworth Invention) as Arvide, Steve Rosen (Spamalot) as Benny Southstreet, and Mary Testa (Xanadu) as General Cartwright.

As was already announced, Guys and Dolls will star Oliver Platt (as Nathan Detroit), Lauren Graham (Miss Adelaide), Craig Bierko (Sky Masterson), and Kate Jennings Grant (Sarah Brown).

In other casting news, John Goodman and David Strathairn have joined the cast of the Roundabout Theater Company's 2009 Broadway production of Waiting for Godot. Goodman will play Pozzo and Strathairn will play Lucky. They join Tony Award winners Nathan Lane and Bill Irwin, who star as Estragon and Vladimir, respectively.

John Goodman Guys and Dolls begins previews Feb. 3 at the Nederlander Theatre, with an official opening scheduled for March 1, 2009. Waiting for Godot begins previews April 10; a limited engagement begins April 30.
