Can Neil Patrick Harris Save Broadway?

Well, no, probably not. But an inspired sketch from the latest episode of Saturday Night Live, hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, exposes how ripe for parody the state of Broadway has become (the fact that Forbidden Broadway satirizes the Great White Way annually notwithstanding).

Many shows closed Sunday, Jan. 4, prompting bittersweet closing night parties and a Facebook event prompting fans to "wear black for Broadway." More early closing dates are still being announced, and more theatres will be dark for the foreseeable future. Watch your favorite Broadway characters gather at Sardi's one last time...
