The Method Fest Independent Film Festival

The Method Fest Independent Film Festival has announced its slate of films for the 11th annual festival, scheduled for March 26-April 2 in Calabasas, CA.  An large number of US and international films will premiere at the festival this year which is now in its eleventh year. The festival is well known for screening world premieres as well as finding rare gems. Regency Agoura Hills 8 Theaters will be the home of The Method Fest.

There seems to be a wide range of quality screeners.  Notable among them is Adam starring Australian Rose Byrne and Hugh Dancy which will open the festival. Adam is Max Mayer's relationship film about a socially inept man (Dancy) and the woman of his dreams (Byrne). Adam also stars Amy Irving and Peter Gallagher.  It screens March 26, at 7 pm, at the Regency Agoura Hills 8, 29045 Agoura Hills Road, Agoura Hills, CA 91301.

Method Fest features 33 feature films from seven countries and the US. Other indie flicks to be showcased include: American Violet, directed by Tim Disney, The Answer Man featuring Jeff Daniels (Centerpiece Film ); Big Fan with Patton Oswalt and Michael Rapaport, (Closing night film); Call of the Wild 3D, the first Independent 3D movie, starring Christopher Lloyd, Ariel Gade, Wes Studi, Aimee Teegarden, Victoria Cartwright, and Timothy Bottoms; Finding Bliss, directed by Julie Davis; If you Could Say it in Words, by Nicholas Gray; Noah Buschel's The Missing Person, with Michael Shannon, Amy Ryan, and Frank Wood; Sugar, directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, New Zealand's Taking the Wae Wae Express; Teo's Journey from Mexico; The Unidentified; Vacation, a Japanese film; and You Won't Miss Me, which recently screened at Sundance.

The Method Fest also celebrates short films with ten short film programs -- as well as shorts preceding the features.
