Cast Complete for Jude Law's 'Hamlet' on Broadway
Complete casting has been announced for the new Broadway production of Hamlet, starring Jude Law. Just as the production itself is moving from the West End to the Great White Way, so too is the rest of the cast.
The company of the current Donmar Warehouse production in London and Elsinore, as well as the upcoming Broadway production, includes Ross Armstrong as Cornelius, Harry Attwell as Guildenstern, Ron Cook as Polonius and 1st Gravedigger, Ian Drysdale as Osric, Peter Eyre as Ghost of Hamlet's Father and Player King, Jenny Funnell as Player Queen, Michael Hadley as Barnardo, Priest, and Captain, Colin Haigh (as Member of the Court, Sean Jackson as Reynaldo, Geraldine James as Gertrude, Gwilym Lee as Laertes, James Le Feuvre as Member of the Court, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Ophelia, John MacMillan as Rosencrantz, Kevin R. McNally as Claudius, Henry Pettigrew as Marcellus, 3rd Player, and 2nd Gravedigger, Matt Ryan as Horatio, Alan Turkington as Francisco, Fortinbras, and 4th Player, and Faye Winter as Member of the Court.
Hamlet begins performances Sept. 12, before opening Oct. 6 for a strictly limited run of 12 weeks at the Broadhurst Theatre in NYC. The play comes to Broadway following sold out engagements in London's West End and at Elsinore (where the play is set) in Denmark.
