Hynes and Clarke win 2009 Callaway Awards

Clarke This past Thanksgiving, the Stage Directors and Choreographers foundation presented director Garry Hynes and choreographer Martha Clarke with the Joe A. Callaway Awards honoring their work seen Off-Broadway and Off-Off-Broadway. Created by actor/director/teacher Joe A. Callaway in 1989, the awards honor artists based on the judgment of a committee of 13 SDC members based on work produced in New York City from September 1 to August 31. Hynes was awarded for her work with the Atlantic Theater on "The Cripple of Inishmaan" and Clarke for her work on "Garden of Earthly Delights."
