Zaks Takes Reins of "Addams Family'

1228_zaks Director Jerry Zaks has been hired as a "creative consultant" on the Broadway-bound musical "The Addams Family," the producers announced today. According to the New York Times, while directors Phelim McDermott and Julian Crouch have not been fired, Zaks will be in charge of the show going forward. Zaks was scheduled to direct Dame Edna's "All About Me," but has been released from that appointment. The $16.5 million production of "The Addams Family" is currently enjoying a pre-Broadway run in Chicago.
