German Actors Hit the Bottle Hard on Stage
Four actors got a bit too into character during a play described as “a crazy depiction” of an alcoholic bender.During a recent performance of “Moscow to the End of the Line” at Frankfurt's Schauspielhaus Theatre, performers replaced their water with 80-proof vodka for their all too realistic rendition of a group of binge-drinking train passengers. The “experiment,” as one actor called it, led to police and an ambulance being summoned, and one cast member being taken to the hospital. The play’s director told the Guardian that all the actors have since recovered.
