Daytime Emmy Nominees Announced

Nominees for the 37th annual Daytime Emmy Awards were announced today. The contenders for Outstanding Talk Show host are Bonnie Hunt, Rachael Ray, Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa, Dr. Oz, and the five hosts of “The View.” “Rachael Ray,” “Live with Regis and Kelly,” and “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” are all up for Outstanding Talk Show for entertainment, while “Dr. Phil,” “The Doctors,” and “The Dr. Oz Show” are competing in the same category for informative talk show. Soap opera “General Hospital” leads with 18 nominations, according to USA Today. The Daytime Emmy’s will take place live from Las Vegas on June 27.
