Diane Keaton and Ellen Page to Co-Star in 'Tilda'

EW's Michael Ausiello reports that Diane Keaton and Ellen Page are officially teaming up to co-star in Tilda, a new HBO comedy pilot about a powerful and feared female blogger. Keaton will play the title character, who many assume is based on Deadline.com's Nikki Finke; Page will play her creative assistant Carolyn, who finds herself morally conflicted between following the corporate culture or Tilda.

These two talented actresses have my hopes high for the new HBO series, although it seems to me that the story lacks originality (at first, it sounds similar to other beleaguered assistant-versus-powerful boss movies like The Devil Wears Prada). But both actresses are well-loved for their charm on the big screen, so I'm anxious to see how they fare as co-stars of a TV series.

On film, Keaton will next star in Morning Glory alongside Rachel McAdams and Harrison Ford, and Page joins Leonardo DiCaprio in Christopher Nolan's upcoming thriller Inception. Page is also working with HBO on a single-camera comedy titled Stitch N' Bitch.

Tilda was written by Bill Condon (Kinsey, Dreamgirls) and Cynthia Mort (creator of Tell Me You Love Me). Condon will also direct the pilot. Filming is scheduled to begin in June in L.A.
