Eastwood's 'Hereafter' to Close NY Film Fest

Clint Eastwood's "Hereafter," starring Matt Damon, Cecile de France, Jay Mohr and Brice Dallas Howard, has been selected as the closing night film at the 48th New York Film Festival, which runs Sept. 24-Oct. 10. The film will be released by Warner Bros. in theaters Oct. 22. "As so beautifully evident in 'Hereafter,' Clint Eastwood continues to make the most daring, provocative films in America,” Richard Pena, selection committee chair and program director of the Film Society of Lincoln Center, said of the selection.
