Settlement Filed in SAG-Osmond Suit

The foreign levies-related class-action lawsuit brought against the Screen Actors Guild by actor Ken Osmond is one step closer to being resolved. According to Variety, SAG will submit to an independent audit of its levies program as part of a preliminary settlement agreement reached last month. On Monday, Osmond's lawyers filed a motion for preliminary approval of the agreement. SAG contends that it has already distributed $8.47 million of the $16.37 million in levies the guild has collected.
