Clint Eastwood to Helm Musical Remake

Clint Eastwood is in early negotiations with Warner Bros. to direct its remake of “A Star Is Born,” according to The Hollywood Reporter. This would be the fourth version of the film; the original was a drama released in 1937 and the subsequent adaptations were both musicals. Warner Bros. is developing this project as a vehicle for singer Beyonce, but still does not have a male lead.
