Liz Lerman Resigns from Her Dance Company

Liz Lerman, choreographer and 2002 MacArthur “genius,” is leaving her post as artistic director of Liz Lerman Dance Exchange, which she founded in 1976. Lerman is known for creating pieces inspired by obscure topics, such as the human genome project. This fall she will be an artist in residence at Harvard University. On July 1, the company will return to its original name, The Dance Exchange.
