'Waiting for Godot' Production Halted

Director Christopher McElroen was forced to cancel a Feb. 15 performance of "Waiting for Godot" at UMass-Amherst because the Samuel Beckett estate refuses to give McElroen the rights to perform the play. Even though it previously approved of the show, Beckett's estate now objects to McElroen's interpretation of 'Godot', which has already received critical acclaim for four years.
