Cabaret Singer Mary Cleere Haran Injured

Yesterday, Mary Cleere Haran was seriously injured in a biking accident near Deerfield Beach, Fla., according to the New York Times. One of the 1990s most prominent cabaret performers, Haran had been living in Florida for the last year. Often singing numbers from the American songbook, in a 2003 Playbill interview Haran cited Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee, and Judy Garland as her influences.
