Elizabeth Taylor Has Passed Away; Hands Off Popcorn
• Hollywood icon Elizabeth Taylor died Wednesday in Los Angeles at the age of 79. The two-time Oscar winner starred in more than 50 films, including "Butterfield 8," "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" and "Cleopatra." She was also an extremely dedicated AIDs activist. • The Food and Drug Administration is proposing federal rules that may require movie theater owners to reveal the amount of calories in their concession food. Theater owners are against the movement because concession food, especially popcorn, generates about one-third of their revenue, reports Los Angeles Times. Owners fear consumers won't buy unhealthy snacks.
