Gilbert Gottfried Offends, and Now Aflac Needs You

Earlier this month, comedian Gilbert Gottfried was fired as the voice of the Aflac duck after he tweeted several jokes about the earthquake and tsunami in Japan, which were deemed offensive and insensitive by the insurance company. Gottfried has since apologized, but this new Funny or Die video reassures us that he won't stop making fun of tragedies (even if it is "too soon"):

Aflac is now seeking a new voice for its feathered mascot, via online and in-person open calls. Read the casting notice on BackStage.com or visit www.quackaflac.com to apply. But hurry, because the deadline is tomorrow, April 1.

Jimmy Fallon also offered his own suggestions for which comedians should replace Gottfried as the voice of the Aflac duck:
