Lynne Soffer to Receive Equity Humanitarian Award

On Wednesday, Actors' Equity Association named actress Lynne Soffer as the winner of the 2011 Lucy Jordan Humanitarian Award. An Equity member since 1981, Soffer teaches acting, speech, and text at schools and theater companies around the nation. As a dialect coach, she has worked on more than 135 productions, including "The Laramie Project" and "Nicholas Nickleby, Parts 1 & 2." Soffer will receive the award at the Equity membership meeting in San Francisco on April 28.
