Samuel L. Jackson on Broadway; MGM Renews with FOX

Jackson • Samuel L. Jackson will star as Martin Luther King, Jr. on Broadway in the play "The Mountaintop," according to Deadline. This will be Jackson's Broadway debut.

• MGM renewed its home video distribution agreement with Fox through 2016, Deadline also reported. The agreement applies to not only library titles, but also new releases, which includes the next James Bond movie.

• A Chinese government venture is going to build the country's first digital film center. The committee in charge of the construction also named film producer and former academy president Sid Ganis honorary committee chairperson. The Wrap has the story.
