'The Book of Mormon' Goes from Stage to Softball
The Broadway Show League, known for hosting star players such as Al Pacino, Rosie O’Donnell, and Tim Robbins, has added the latest Broadway phenomenon to its roster. The cast and crew of Tony award-winning “The Book of Mormon” will batter up on Thursday afternoons in Central Park.
However, according to MetroFocus, the teams softball skills fail to match their stage talent. At the mid-season check-in, the team is scoring average.
“Mormon” ensemble actor and left center fielder Tommar Wilson told MetroFocus that his team “had such a good year with our show that everybody loves to have us lose on the field.”
