'Addams Family' Closing; B'way Flea Expanding
• They're creepy and they're kooky and they're altogether gone, at least they will be soon. The Broadway production of "The Addams Family" will close on December 31, reported The New York Times. On the bright side, a national tour will start September 15.
• The Broadway Flea Market will take place this year on the entire block of west 44th Street between Seventh and Eighth Avenues as well as the pedestrian plaza in Times Square, instead pf its normal Shubert Alley location. The charity benefit supports Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and will occur on September 25. Read the story at Playbill.
• Fox Television began last week to delay the online availability of its programs until eight days after their initial airing except for Hulu Plus subscribers or customers of TV distributors making special deals with Fox. Though there aren't too many Fox shows airing in August, there was an incredible jump in piracy of those few programs, like "Hell's Kitchen." Check it out at The Hollywood Reporter.
• From September 14-17, British comedian Bill Bailey will be performing at NYU's Skirball Center for the Performing Arts. See here for details.
