Afghan Audienced To Experience 'The Ministry'

Scarell Afghan audiences will soon get to experience “The Office” – only completely different. The new mockumentary-style television show called “The Ministry,” which has been compared to the American and British versions of “The Office,” is actually a political satire. Hoping to shine a light on the corruption, nepotism and incompetence of the Afghan government, the show holds a mirror up to Afghanistan but keeps enough distance to make the show funny.

According to The New York Times, the show will premiere on Thursday on the nation’s largest network, and scams and dishonesty will be major themes throughout the series.
