Constantine Maroulis Will Appear in 'Rock of Ages' Movie After All

Even though he originated the role in the Off-Broadway and Broadway productions of Rock of Ages, Constantine Maroulis won't be starring as Drew in the upcoming film adaptation of the musical (the onscreen role went to Diego Bonita).

But there's good news -- the former American Idol contestant still has a part in the movie. He just filmed a small role as "a prototypical '80s record executive," according to Deadline.com, which also posted a photo of Maroulis posing in character with the film's director Adam Shankman and producer Matt Weaver:

The movie stars Diego Boneta, Julianne Hough, Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin, Russell Brand, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Bryan Cranston, and Mary J. Blige, and is scheduled to be released in theaters in June 2012.
