The Man Who Broke Ryan Gosling's Heart

New video of Ryan Gosling from The Toronto Film Festival, where the actor was quite the belle of the ball, appearing in both "The Ides of March" and "Drive." Gosling, who we've loved for years, is one of the funniest, most gracious guys in real life who also just happens to be the best actor of his generation. In the video above, he talks about his worst audition, fanning out on his co-stars, and how a childhood hero broke his heart (you'll be surprised who!)

"Ides of March" opens this Friday, and it's a good one. In fact, all three of Gosling's films this year have been great, and all three roles have been very different. If he doesn't get an Oscar nomination this year, it will only be because voters can't decide which performance to champion.

Bonus: after the jump, a short edit from our conversation that I would like to turn into my own personal ringtone.

Can't tell you what I said to warrant this response, but isn't it great?
