Zombies Injured on 'Evil' Set; Former Theater Burns
• On the set of "Resident Evil: Retribution," 16 background actors were injured and 11 were taken to the hospital on Tuesday after they accidentally fell through a gap in a four-foot-high platform that separated from the set. The injuries were not life-threatening, but when paramedics arrived, they initially had difficulty diagnosing the victims' injuries because the actors were in zombie costumes, consisting of blood and festering flesh. According to Deadline, seven of the actors have already returned to the set.
• A fire on early Monday morning burned down a historic barn at the site of the Weathervane Theatre in Whitefield, New Hampshire, reported WMUR New Hampshire. The barn dated back to the late 19th century, a date which is incorrectly stated in WMUR's and the Union Leader reports, and is the building in which the theater held shows until 2002, when an adjacent new theater was constructed. The fire singed the side of the new building. Many New York actors get their starts at Weathervane.
