Four Elvis Projects A-Coming; Cable's More Violent

THR talks about Hollywood's love for Elvis Presley, namely because the guy had a fascinating life filled with (sigh) sex, drugs, and rock and/or roll. There are four projects in various stages of development about the King.

Los Angeles Times discusses how TV critical darlings, such as "Breaking Bad" and Sons of Anarchy," are increasing their usage of violence. Showrunners, however, insist that the violence isn't gratuitous and fits the circumstances of the episode.

 Prospect Park has put on hold their plans to relaunch "All My Children" on the Internet, reported Soaps in Depth.  The company has decided it only needs one soap for its online network, and, even though it acqired "One Life to Live" and AMC,  OLTL s further along in Park's plans, an AMC launch is not moving forward.  

The Daily Beast runs down Google TV's approach and why it will appeal to a generation that didn't really buy televiision sets, but definitely owns a computer.
