Free Reading at St. Malachy's

Stanley Eugene Tannen's TIPA (Towards International Peace Through the Arts) Project will present a free reading of great poems of the 20th century in celebration of Saint Malachy's, the actors' chapel, on Fri. Dec. 2 from 1-2:30 p.m. at the chapel, 239 W. 49th St., NYC. The doors open at 12:30 p.m. For information, call (212) 246-4651. Among the artists participating are Tony winners Fritz Weaver, Tammy Grimes, and Frances Sternhagen, along with Betsy Von Furstenberg, Bess Rous, Conrad Rothbaum, and other performers currently appearing on Broadway.

"St. Malachy's has been a force for community solidarity and progress, and a spiritual home to Broadway actors and other entertainers, for more than a century," says Tannen. "We are delighted to present this program in honor of St. Malachy's, another in what we hope will be a long series of TIPA programs at St. Malachy's in the heart of Broadway."
