Classic Hollywood Bloopers

Ever wonder if acting legends like Humphrey Bogart, Jimmy Stewart, Bette Davis, or Carole Lombard flubbed their lines? Or cursed? Check out this great collection of candid clips from classic Hollywood films.

You'll notice how apologetic the actors are and how upset the directors sometimes get. Remember, this is back in the day before digital, where film was expensive and you could get fired for wasting time!

Watch Unearthed Sandra Bullock Audition Video

20 years before becoming America's sweetheart and winning an Academy Award for her performance in The Blind Side, Sandra Bullock was another struggling young actress who actually had to audition for roles. In this never-before-seen footage from 1991, Bullock (then 27 years old) adopts a Jersey accent and big hair to audition for an unknown film:

Mary-Louise Parker Writes a Letter to Her 'Weeds' Character

Mary-louise parker_weedsMary-Louise Parker has written a letter to Nancy Botwin, the character she plays on the Showtime series Weeds, for the Fall 2011 issue of Bullett. The piece offers insight into what the prolific actress finds most compelling about the role (mainly, Nancy's questionable morality), and also suggests the ways an actor can get inside the mind of a character without fully losing their own sense of identity off screen.

Beginning "Dear Nancy," Parker questions her character about the inventory of a certain duffle bag. Then the actress says to the character she created: "I have grown to love you. We have only two or three things in common despite sharing a body, but that doesn't seem to matter. I don't feel like quitting you just yet." Read an excerpt below:

"I hope you are doing better than the last time I saw you. I can't imagine you have changed much despite incarceration, fetching little recidivist that you are. You know I mean that with love...

"Your moral compass will always give you a fake speed limit. Use it. Drink up that narcissism juice and burn rubber, baby. Don't ever change. I wouldn't know what to do with myself if you grew a conscience, but what's more, I have grown to love you. We have only two or three things in common despite sharing a body, but that doesn't seem to matter. I don't feel like quitting you just yet. Anyways, I am keeping your stuff safe. Send news."

Post "True Blood" Q&A with Janina Gavankar

Video: Back Stage at the SAG Foundation Presents--Janina Gavankar, Star currently on HBO's hit show "True Blood."

Moderated by: Zino Macaluso

She will be sharing her tips regarding how young Hollywood is using and can best use social media.

Already a favorite of the devoted fans of her two earlier series, The L Word and The Gates, Janina now plays Luna on True Blood. She is a shape-shifter, which pretty much describes Janina in her real life.

In addition to her starring roles in three series, the three-quarters Indian, one-quarter Dutch beauty has appeared in Stargate Atlantis, Grey's Anatomy, The Cleaner, Dollhouse, NCIS  and Three Rivers.

But there’s also Janina the Geek, who not only writes program code for friends, but who was also the first celebrity to sign up with Twitter. She is so technologically creative that she is regularly asked to be on panels at conferences educating the entertainment industry on the practical application of multiple new digital platforms. Follow her on twitter @Janina.
